    This costume has lots of white-on-white smocking and embroidery on heavy fabric. The lace on the sleeves and apron is crocheted.

    Posavina blouse, back     		This is a single costume piece. It is a woman's blouse from Posavina, in the so-called "shvabska" style. It is made of heavy handwoven fabric, with openwork embroidery details on the sleeve, back hem, and front opening.
    man's shirt man's shirt Man's shirt, probably from Slavonia, Croatia. The fabric with the hand-woven stripes of contrasting weight warp is typical of Slavonian costumes. The embroidery on the front is hand done.

    Croatian pillow with hand-woven designs. This was given to Stefni in Zagreb in 1972.

    croatian pillow top Stefni was given this in Zagreb in 1972 and she was told it was for a pillow. It is photographed with the decorated ends folded over. The fabric is hand woven with the design made during the weaving.
